So a couple of the guys thingyman recruited for the Champions Game were from a live-action site that play via webcam on Google Hangouts and stream the games live. You can see an example of how this works here. I know thingy is planning to do the next Champions game like that, but I thought it would be cool to do a POG game, under modified POG rules.

The guys who play on Twitch play a no-role-reveal ruleset, which is obviously deeply weird and wrong and we can't do that. Keeping track of votes in real time is also problematic. Part of the point of this thread is to debate what voting system to use, but I propose using the system I have used when playing werewolf irl. At the end of a day (which is timed) the mod asks for nominations for the lynch. All nominations must be seconded. Then each nomination is voted on in turn. Players can vote for as many of the nominated players as they choose. At the end of voting, the player with the most votes is lynched. If there is a tie, there is another round of voting between just the tied players, where voters may only vote once. If it's still tied, flippaments.

interested, but assume this will have to be a turbo, right? otherwise how the hell does it work? I would suggest having a thread that allows voting only and do the rest of it via webcam.

Oh yeah I should have mentioned, this would be turbo. Probably like 20 min days and 5 min nights. People black out their video feeds at night. Wolfchat would be night-only and via Skype.

Also I considered having a voting only thread and will do that if people prefer that, but I think it would be distracting at EOD having people F5ing and reading the voting thread rather than discussing. I know change is scary, but the voting system I outlined has worked fine for IRL games, I think it's good.

Guess I'd better buy a webcam. Though I'm not locked in as mod either, if this gets the ball rolling and thingy or someone ends up modding that's fine.

When people did Skype turbos in the past, they did the voting by text in Skype.
