No problem. I didn't do 2 years though. Wetwilly did beginning of 2016 and when he left Arjun picked them up to the end of 2016, IIRC. Arjun started 2017 and I picked up for him in May or June to finish off 2017.
I don't think anyone has taken the lenc stats on for 2018.

Yeah, not good to see Paul go but I was more concerned about numbers in general and my own dwindling interest in TC. Most new players seem to come through 2+2 POG, and there is no real growth on 2+2. I think in the last 2 and a half years the only new players committed to being regs were me , arjun, shams and nails.
I can only speak for myself but part of what is missing for me is a TC community, per se. I think it would be neat, for example, if there was a ton of non-strategy banter on this thread. It would nice to harass each other for dumb plays or luckbox wins or perfect final racks, etc...or for no reason at all.
For example, congrats on wins 99 and 100, waffles, but FU for thieving two wins from me with two lame openings and ridiculous rack 9s. lol (just kidding on the openings).
I just think about what I enjoy about golfing with my buddies. We are all Ok at golf (usually all break 80) but the fun is the relentless badgering and trash-talking that goes on.
Heck, I want to take some shots at people here (in a light hearted way, of course) and I expect to get the same back if I make bonehead moves or fluke of a win with almost no win equity going into rack 9.... Or, for just no reason at all.
Instead, we just all play our game, go away, and come back again the next day and do the same.
I doubt if the lack of connection is why some people leave, though. I think the reason is probably the high level of variance inherent in the design of the game. Over the very long term things sort themselves out, but a person can simply run bad for a stretch of 50-100 games, and with only 365 DCs a year, there are not the amount of games available to play through a downswing in a reasonable period of time.
So probably people leave out of frustration for one reason or another. After all, it cant be because they cant find 5 mins a day to play a DC, and it cant be because they "solved" the game.
PS. I remember one time when Paul and I were PMing back and forth I asked why why he made a certain move with a 1. He said "because I am idiot." That exchange would have been so much better in the thread. And BTW, while Paul could come of arrogant and blunt in the thread at times, he actually has a pretty neat and dry sense of humour one-on-one...
