I think that whispering has little upside, and lots of downside.

If this happens, Gad is not telling you his role. You are telling Gad his role and he will confirm or deny. Alternatively you could just post your Gossip info in thread and Gad + other can confirm/deny.

awesome, seems like you gained some possible info from this claim fest. before you had no idea who were wolves, and now you think irtm and i might be. although your leans are at least 50% wrong at least you have some leans now and info to work with that you didn't before.

you should put out an actual claim too.

It's not dumb. You are claiming Gossip. So far your claim has not gone contested. However there's also a 40% chance it's not a role in the game.

I think this is more likely than not given how last game played out.
He's pretty capable of switching up his style to try something new.

Last game he went hard in the paint against JM as TC to try and get lynched.
I doubt he'd do the same thing this time around, and would try something different.

If I out my info in the thread it only helps the wolves and leads to confusion.

If I have a villa role for a wolf they just agree

If I have a different villa role for a villa role and can let the wolves narrow down actual roles

There is no benefit to the village for me to out my info ITT ATM
