I'm more of a classical guy when it comes to solo piano. Gave this a shot but I couldn't really feel anything from it. I had to immediately listen to this after. That's Anna Fedorova playing Chopin's Nocturne in B major, Opus 9, number 3. It's dope.
I'm not sure why this was submitted. I was told it's happy and would put a spring in my step but I was looking more for something that would slap me in the face and give me goosebumps which this probably wouldn't.
I had never seen or listened to the piece this comes from before, and don't know why. It's obviously very good, and I can dig it. Feels a bit too melodramatic perhaps for the category, but maybe I haven't given this stuff a shot in my hiking playlists as much as I should.
Liked a lot of this, didn't like all of the guitar solos. The aesthetics of the song are pretty freaking cool when I stop caring about what's being played. I could totally zone out in a feeling of ecstasy to this.
The instrumentation hurts my rating of this song. I feel like harmonic structure really works but I'd like to hear this a bit more polished and developed. So I'll say this is pretty good for the category, but loses points on general 'sound'.
This has interesting aesthetics. It sounds epic without being too in your face. It's not what I'd expect as a top song in this category, but it seems to work for me.
This track brings back such weird memories. This used to be one of my favorite games, no joke! Kind of torn on how to begin thinking about placing this.
This song is like, super manic. Almost sounds like a sped-up MIDI version of a different song but I quite like it. Does it fit the category? Yea...this would get me off my ass.
Listened to this early, before I was quite sure what I wanted from this category. Struck me as a decent entry with a good amount of agitation which is good for a category like this.
I really like this song. Absolutely love the fragmented way in which it builds. This would keep me smiling and excited to get down to camp for the night. Oddly enough, I would have placed this in a different category but I still find it to be quite appropriate for this one.
