Just gaging interest...found a free online multiplayer stratego...been playing it and had forgotten how awesome this game is

let me know if you got the time to rock one out...youll have to dl the game and java if you dont have it but the game itself takes maybe 15 minutes

I am proud to say that I have a perfect record in this game. Of course the last time I played this was in the 5th grade against other 5th graders so I might not be quite as good now.

I played it for the first time just a week or two ago, and enjoyed it. Not that I am any good at it - the freeware AI version I downloaded thrashes me on intermediate level.

I believe this one has a bot you can play if you choose...although i havent tried it.

Side note: Would you believe they have their own stratego forum? These guys are hardcore...maybe even a higher geek to member ratio than 2p2....if thats possible.

well it turns out after u play 25 games you have to pay to keep playing on the site. $35 for a year. I tried to cheat the system by just making another account but they caught it immediately and kicked me out so i guess i shall retire as king of stratego

Yes, just started playing it. It seems against beginners your best bet is to guard your flag well using deception (two forces with bombs on both sides, and you General and Major leading both forces from the rear), and paying attention to each move.

Recommend watching this YT channel, Maxoscity which has all kinds of Stratego videos of him playing (he's like 13 years old or something). I'm fascinated. I made my first YT of Stratego, but keeping them private for now. Probably because I lost. Guy's Marshal decided to walk on water through all my officers. It was pretty much game over.
