There's a guy on the Internet who amuses himself by aggregating critics' best-of lists on various topics into meta-lists that rank items based on how many critics' lists they appeared on. "That sounds like a great resource for a peehs," I said to myself, and here we are today.

A broad range of topics and something for everyone. Obviously there's great potential for subjectivity here, but just try to think like critics/experts think and you should have a good shot.

Normal rules: For each question, you're trying to provide a correct answer that the fewest other people submit. Incorrects will score as 1.5x of the sheep. Send me a PM (numbered or unnumbered) with your answers.

And there's the TWOFER BONUS. On two questions of your choice, you may submit two answers instead of one. Both of your answers will count towards everyone else's scores, but only your best-scoring answer will count towards your score. There is literally no downside to doing this.

8. Name an opera appearing on at least 15 of 20 lists of best operas of all time. (16 answers)

9. Name a song appearing on at least 5 of 15 lists of best songs of all time. (80 answers) [NOTE: the earliest song on the list is from 1925, and the compiler of the meta-list apologizes for the lack of songs from non-English-speaking cultures]

10. Name a person born prior to 1 CE who appears on at least 5 of 20 lists of "Most Important People," "Most Influential People," or "People Who Changed The World." (17 answers)

11. Name a person other than Jesus born between 1 CE and 1500 CE who appears on at least 5 of the lists mentioned in #10. (21 answers)

12. Name a person born between 1500 CE and 1800 CE who appears on at least 5 of the lists mentioned in #10. (27 answers)

NOTE: For reference, Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin are the incorrect answers born closest to the cutoff date for Question 12; they were born in 1809.

ALSO, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT: For the three questions where a correct answer depends in part on birthdate (Questions 10 through 12), you may PM me to ask what year a particular person was born, and I will tell you (although I will obviously not tell you whether they are a correct answer). You can do this multiple times, but try not to abuse it.

The only question that's different is #1, where I expanded the answers from appearing on 10 of 20 lists to appearing on 5 of 20 lists, for the reasons stated in my last post in the original thread.

Thought quite hard about a few of these.
Went risky with the questions with lots of answers and safe with the ones with fewer answers.
Probably got some incorrects and some sheep in there, but I've done what I can.

Now I've got 2 weeks to forget my answers and wonder what the hell I was thinking about during the reveal

By the way, general note:

If anyone is hesitant to enter this peehs because they don't think they have good answers for a few of the categories, don't worry: considering that it's kinda subjective and arbitrary whether something is a "correct" answer (appearing on 11 critical rankings rather than 10, for example), I promise that an incorrect answer or two is not going to torpedo your chances of doing well.

I'm not saying that nobody who has submitted so far has escaped having at least one incorrect answer, but I am saying that there's a lot of knowledge bases being drawn upon here and stuff evens out. There are a couple questions where it's almost certainly going to be a bloodbath, and a couple others where you have a good chance of having a good score even if you don't think you know very much.

So if you're on the fence, give it a shot and just go with your gut; you're not going to embarrass yourself, and the more the merrier!

I'll stand pat. My Q1 answer has a 80% chance of being incorrect, but if it is correct, I'll just declare myself the winner.
