Pretty catchy, but on first listen doesn't really stand out from the masses of synth pop being released today.

Wow, this is nothing like what I usually listen to but it's really cool. Video really gives the song a different atmosphere. Did not enjoy the dick-stabbing though.

Thought it might be redeeming itself when the music finally started at the 2:30 mark, but alas, no. Might be a good song to play in a hostage situation if you want to drive the person out. Video was good.

Jeff Healey-Confidence Man Blind guitarist! Found out yesterday that he died 5 years ago. Made me sad.

Generic barroom blues with a healthy dose of guitar wankery that serves to mask that this is the kind of thing you hear in the Paddo Tavern on a Saturday night.

3/10

Elton looks different in that video and I prefer his more uptempo stuff.

0/10

The only good thing NIN did was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJIDJy3y_3Y

Aphex was asked to remix NIN, and when he'd stop laughing, he picked something up off the studio floor and mailed it back to NIN's people. He never even listened to the originals, because he already knew NIN sucks balls.

My Bloody Valentine -- Come in alone

In fact, he never listened to the remix either and had no idea which thing he'd sent them.

I think he's rich enough to afford a therapist rather than inflict his entitled whining on me?

When I listen to Aphex, I feel like I can hear colours and understand poetry. When I listen to NIN, I feel like I can hear the plop of turds in the bowl and understand the pain of the local supermarket being out of your favourite cereal.

Well, I like jazz, not my favorite genre, but I like it... I prefer it with vocals though, and also, the melody doesn't do much for me :/. 4/10.

Let's try this:

The problem with a lot of this lo-fi stuff is that if you cranked it up, it would be revealed as uninspired, which this sadly was. Poor man's Calexico?

3/10 for the nice bit of twang towards the end

Calexico -- Crooked road and the briar

Guitar kinda annoys me a bit.

Here's an early 90's song.... hybrid of rock and country.

Pretty boring, I didn't really enjoy it. It's not bad though, I like the simplicity.

Captain Beefheart has a lot to answer for, or would have if there was any sort of market for this sort of thing.

I mean, what score you give this depends entirely on whether you like things like tunes. I do, so 1/10.

Have some genius mathrock instead:
