His work is extraordinarily evocative of the lost humanity of modernity. Everything is being torn away, especially meaning. Faceless beings exist in this empty shell of former worlds. There is no vision here. Everything is isolated and broken. Everything has been analyzed into its constituents without retaining their connection, leaving only a semblance without authenticity.

In that Munch painting only the creature is screaming, but in Bekshinski everything is screaming, the walls, the rocks, and the sky.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy today. Thoroughly enjoyable cartoon violence and humor. I liked the characters better than the comic book versions.
