Prisoner's dilemma 2 *Game thread*

Welcome to the game!

Each round you will be matched up with another player randomly. You both choose your action and get scored accordingly. After a predetermined number of rounds the bottom 6 will be eliminated.

Cool. Can we get a quick run down on the rules incase not everyone knows whats allowed and not allowed?

Also I will cooperate until someone defects on me, then I will do what ever it takes to make that person lose.

Alright so anyone who railed the last game knows that the best way forward is to co-op and anyone who defects gets struck off the master co-op list and basically loses for being treacherous.

Haven't had internet for the past couple hours.

You must cooperate and defect at least once this stage (stage=until the first elimination). If you fail to do this you will get a 4 point penalty.

I'm sending co-op with master. Master if you read the thread from the last time we played this game, I never defected on anyone who didn't allow me to.

Im assuming this game will play out a bit different, especially as we now know we have to defect once this round.

Any clue on how many matches in this round or is that up to us to figure out?

Also as I have already sent in cooperate for this round cause willi is a good guy, next round person is probably gonna get defected on.

Considering you didn't play the game I'll let you know what actually happened.

Kukrapout and WinEvryRaceX had an alliance with some other people that didn't include me and pwnsall and wyman. So we agreed to look out for each other in response to that and through some lucky matchups and good strategy (wyman has a phd in math) we were mostly able to advance through the game.

We didn't have any kind of agreement until the game had been eliminated down to eight people and we were basically threatened with 'evolve or die'.

'Secret Alliance' sounds a lot more sinister than it actually was.

And if you notice I still never defected on anybody that co-oped with me the whole first round. That's my basic strategy.
