m1ke you prolly a far better player than me - let me say that first.
- Ok you might have a balanced range of draws/nuts/air - hell you might even do it with mid-strength value hands idk.
- but my point was - is this the guy you should be using that particular turn bet size with.
given he is sitting with 28bb I think
he is either a pro-shortstacker or he is a recreational player.
If he is a pro shortstacker - on the turn when you overbet like that you put him in push or fold mode ( or he is showdown bound when he does just call)
If he is a recreational player - then he is likely to call far too much overall on every st.
If the second player - on that board and turn - he is in auto-fold when he folds 90% of the time and so if all you are doing is protecting Q high and folding out Ace high then you dont need to overbet to achieve that.
The auxiliary benefit of betting much smaller on the turn if he does continue and you
choose to follow through then you have more oomph behind when you shove a nut/nut bluff card like this river. Although likly player type prolly still makes it close because I dont see him folding JJ in this spot often from my experience.
