Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here

When the deep tables started a few months ago, they were great. They were so soft, with plenty of tables open and full of mostly fish buying in for 200BBs and some weak regs who spazzed out when 3bet too much. The normal tables had issues with too many hit n run shorties due to the rake race so deep tables were a great relief.

The traffic then halved over night when the rake race ended (even though all but the highest and lowest volume players are actually unaffected by the switch to the new scheme). Now the tables are full of regs as the few regs who stayed are forced to sit at nearly every open table at their stakes. On my 10 tables earlier (not all deep, rarely fill 10 deep tables these days), at least 3 seats on each of my tables was filled by just 6 players. The average skill of the players might have gone down after the changes but table selection has died so my tables are all much tougher than they were.

Late at night, you can't even get close to 10 100NL tables of any kind. Last month I ended up playing anything from 20NL to 200NL during off peak to get enough tables.

Time to go look for some kickbacks elsewhere.

I'm picky

And 50BB stacks become 20BB stacks quick enough when people don't auto reload.

50BB is decent if it is a normal table but I don't think it is enough for designated deep tables.

who cares? a 50bb stack that falls to 20bbs probably sucks at poker and can be beaten easily. The problem with the rat holers is that they play closer to unexploitably and are harder to get a long term edge against. i don't so much about care about people who short stack badly

Fred, try multisiting, takes a while to get used to at first, but it will erase the problem of getting good games.

is there a better feeling in poker than when someone goes to a great deal of trouble to elaborately slowroll you, but then neglects the vital final component of actually going on to win the pot? i cant think of one. barring natural disasters i think ill be in a good mood until September now.

Wait.. you're below 0 in showdown winnings and your non showdown winnings are insane.

Your style is so different from mine.

I will try some crazyish ideas I've concidered soon (including 4bet jamming 100BB instead of the small ones and cbetting 2BB), will report back how it works.

Wait, who plays CAP. If you play on FTP, did the cap tables change a lot/get tougher/less?

Played some home games this weekend with just about every variation of poker played at some point. We played big 2, elevator, crazy pineapple, pea brain pete, pinatubo, chowaha, cincinatti and then all of the usual games. Hold'Em seems so plain now.
