Barring a read, I probably call there.

If villain has the case J, oh well. If he has a pair > 9's, he played it a bit oddly (but TT is possible). A 9 isn't too likely but possible. The overbet looks kind of suspicious, too. I mean is really hoping to get looked up by AK or something? villains line really makes no sense unless he got cute with AA/KK/QQ or has some hand like JT (or TT). I can see the straight, missed flush draw/straight draw, smaller boat, even something like KQ trying to push you off an ace or utter crap like 56s being 'creative'. I really don't think folding is right here, unless you know something about villain that suggests this is an incredible monster more than (I don't feel like doing the exact math but) like 60ish percent of the time.

Edit - and I think the line to the river is fine. Betting more in a vacuum is ok, but it all depends on your overall strategy. If you are making smaller bets on average so you can play looser, you really can't get too out of character with a monster. If otoh you are playing tighter and making bigger bets on average, then you certainly don't want to start betting smaller when you have a monster, either.

see i dont think any worse hands raise you here. If anyone is repping the Jack its you. Block bet the river smallish for $42 and fold to the push.

I don't know. I don't think anyone is going to really believe you have a jack if you bet and they don't. I would hate bet folding here if I had no reads and would much rather check call or bet call. I think there are a whole lot more hands in villains range that we beat than are beating us. I really don't like folding this river here ever with any line unless I have a read; there are just way too many hands villain can have here that he bluffs with, made hands he turns into a bluff, 'value bets', and yes, some that beat us to. His range is just massive, that flop hits soooooo many hands he can be defending with, and this is blind v blind so he is probably giving us no credit.

Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here

we block so we dont have to decide if hes bluffing. By checking that river we like never have quads and he has to figure that was a bad card for so much of our range(straights, flushes etc.) Basically by checking we are begging him to bluff all in or value bet all in with almost any pair. We wont know which is which. Thats why i like the block bet...so much harder for him to bluff plus we still get called by a ton of hands we beat.

Ya leading the river is important here.. I don't see how you can check call here at all.

I think this is easy but I'm doubting myself for some reason - do I fold or call down here?

Turn raiser is unknown but seems bad, turn 3 bettor is a multitabling SNE regular

I would fold Herbie. An 8 or 99 makes a lot of sense for both (though I hate the way button played it), so even if one of them is being retarded, the chances that you're ahead of both are not that great.

Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here

went 2/8 on a set of DoNs. Of the 6 times I got knocked out, not once did all my money go in behind.

On one of the one's I won, my money went all in way the **** behind.
On the other one, AJ held over A9, somehow.

Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here

I did fold and didn't see either of their cards because UTG just called the turn then c/f river.

I only asked because at the time I thought it was a pretty standard fold but I hate folding Aces in big pots with lots of draws because people do weird things in big pots with lots of draws.

In unrelated news I Sunday Million sats (and have a decent amount in T$ that I'd be willing to sell if someone was interested in buying them). I don't really feel like grinding DoN's for 4 hours tonight.
