normally, a 3bet range is wider than someone calling a 3bet.

but the utg open from the tiny stack changes things. if 3 better is a good player, he's expecting his 3bet to likely be all in preflop, so he shouldn't be 3betting hands like suited connectors, and suited gappers. same goes for my calling range, but i think to a slightly less degree. i think i can play a little more speculatively, since i have position, and i'll be getting ~2 to 1 odds instead of heads up

You can't loosen up, because you can't rely on the chance to win pots without making a hand and you can't rely on having bluffs in your range in order to get paid off when you actually hit something. And needless to say you're at an equity disadvantage with suited connectors so you have to rely on one of those two factors in order to get your call up to the breakeven point.

And your opponent should be inclined to threebet with medium pairs rather than flatting.

So we're just assuming that UTG comes along then always? I mean I get that we realize some of our equity by bluffing and getting to double barrel but it seems odd to not call middle SC hands to try and bust the 3b'er. You can't make that side then negate the times we smash the flop and stack the 3b tho. I don't see why he'd 3b 66/77 here but I digress.

Stacks aren't deep enough to try to outflop big pairs even if you know you're getting paid off.

Had 2 bad sessions in a row where I chose to quit cause I wasn't playing well. Went back today and made all of it back in a little less than 3 hours. Pretty nice feeling
