This seems extremely straightforward and I see no reason for change.
Game mods can choose whether they want gimmicks or not. If they don't and someone violates it then they get punished. If they think a gimmick is in their game and need to know who, PM me and I'll check IP or I'll PM the poster and ask them to tell me in privacy.
if i can't get all gimmicks banned across pog, how about all outed gimmicks are encouraged to put 'aka <main account name>' as their location? If it's not a secret, then why not help people keep track?
I do definitely agree with this. The gimmick games make it difficult to keep track.
Ja! Ich binn der SS hauptbansturmfuher. It's stupid that people have to keep up with some endless stream of new accounts to work out who people are. Last time we talked about this someone came up with the idea of maintaining a spreadsheet to allow newbs to identify who people are talking about - that should be a measure of how stupid the prevalence of gimmicks is.
then don't bother having a relationship with them if you get so worked up about it. if my being a gimmick causes many of the members to alienate themselves, then that would be the cost of me doing it. i think that's as far as your ability to enforce my screwing around on a gimmick should go.

I don't hate this. I don't love it, in part because my location is usually part of the joke and in part because while POG may know, often the rest of 2p2 doesn't and that's part of the point too. But it's worth considering doing something to lessen the exclusionary aspect of technically-outed-but-not-universally known gimmicks.
i agree with this, but the general take i thought on magic-jazz was that playing under a gimmick and claiming newb was not outlawed and thus fine, which seems counter to the idea of the honour system imo

Still low IMO, but that's debatable. I dislike the fact that you can get an advantage by doing something outside the game more than how much of an advantage it is tbh

There is no problem with outed gimmicks whatsoever. Who cares if iversonian plays as iversonian or as John Wayne.
Non-outed gimmicks bring things in the game that do not belong. For example, the gimmicker has meta that the other players do not have.
the pole is mostly only really about un-outed gimmicks, but what you are saying is some variant of the requirement to disclose, so I think that should be your vote.
if they must out themselves at the get-go (to the mod), it kinda makes the gimmick a one-time use only thing. it's kinda fun to see gimmicks' own meta develop over time, imo.
