She means so much to me because a few years ago I went through a temporary depression and it was really bad. I'd never experienced anything like it before and I lost a lot of my friends from generally being an unbearable person. The dog was one of the only things that made me happy during that time, and even though I recovered I just have a special place for her in my heart. More than any dog I've ever had before. I know she's just a pet, but I just love her so much. I can't think of anything I'd rather spend 10k on.. I really can't.

She's an awesome frickin dog and she balances bacon on her nose and plays dead when I shoot her with my thumb and forefinger

you will just have to make her do tricks with bacon to earn back the 10k in happiness value. you would be losing money by not getting the operation
