You're quite right, it's not the same people necessarily. And a lot of it is pure demographics (baby boomer bulge), but i do find the weight of that demographic concentration to be moderately annoying, both economically and culturally.

But it's not to say that there is not much to admire, also.

I also wish that there was something one could believe in, in today's world, but fear I cannot think of anything.
