CPH reading the book is hilarious.

But I guess it's more fun than running with a scissor...

Actually from the book, apparently:

“Now I know what all the fuss is about. Two orgasms… coming apart at the seams, like the spin cycle on a washing machine. Wow.”

Now, I'm standing here at my washing machine, and so far as I can tell it does not have seams that "come apart" during the spin cycle.

Because that would flood my home, among other inconveniences.

book or kindle?

as I understand it, the effect of the kindle hiding what you are reading is thought to be responsible for big growth (HA HA) in the erotic books segment, especially erotic supernatural. Why any one would read the physical book in public I have no idea, must be a recipe for creepy bondage based propositions

Someone needs to give Hoya a copy of The Room

Yeah, I've heard this as well.

Interestingly I was at Skylight Books in Los Angeles (in Los Feliz for those familiar, great book store) and their number one seller was . . . a leather-bound 50 Shades trilogy box set. Last week.

Are you talking about Room (the excellent novel) or The Room (the infamous WOAT movie)?
06-30-2012 , 01:17 PM
woat movie obv.

We should do a synchronized group Skype viewing.
06-30-2012 , 01:18 PM
Or Room, a more recent novel that I own but couldn't bring myself to read
06-30-2012 , 01:19 PM
I thought that was really good! It's really disturbing though.

yeah, it was very well received, but it creeps me out just to think about it, plus I have some ethical doubts about using such raw material as inspiration for literature

actually you can sort of whisper breathlessly. try it. try it like you are suffocating. it actually sounds really funny if you think of someone talking like that during sex, especially if it's someone who is supposed to be adored by millions of women

I was in a fiction class and the professor just could not stop talking about that book, compelled me to read it

I'm not going to agree with your ethical doubts but I can accept and respect them. For what it's worth I thought the juvenile narration was masterful.

Speaking of erotic fiction, you guys should A) read the picture in the link, and B) read the top comment on reddit.

Wow wait. Is she regarded as a decent guitar player or not? She has a bizarre pick hand habit or technique. . .

A man still has no power. Last night I watched fireworks from a graveyard. Then I observed my breathing for three hours and put all my meat in the freezer. All the traffic lights are out in the neighborhood. May the gods watch over my bacon and fish.

So it begins. With no power, but still with decent 3g reception

Just to be clear, that's the top comment I was referring to. Reddit is weird and I still don't get it.

Oh I see. Yeah I do not get it either.

lol, much lower in the comment chain someone says:

"Did you see that punctuation?
It's like Proust all up in this bitch."

if you're talking about taylor swift, i don't think she is regarded as a particularly talented musician or singer
