I spend money on suits, my every day stuff is like banana republic at best standard dumb tshirts and some jeans otherwise

there's no swag going on over here, at least not expensive swag

Wait Filthy weren't you complaining about rich people not paying for your meal and you are buying $100 tshirts?

I'm baffled

Anyway for those who need some fitted work stuff that actually really does fit and for semi-reasonable prices, those internet tailors are kind of awesome.

Also there may be bespoke tailors in your neighborhoods that will hook you up with well-fitted stuff for good prices.

Go to Target. Go to the "Men's Clothing" section. Look for Missimo vneck section. They have like 10 different colors in whatever size you need. $8 each.

i have hardly any expenses, but i also have hardly any income. my ev in poker is pretty strong, but i am really worried about not being able to cashout, so i havne't been grinding.

and i have over 100k locked up/lost in ftp, and i got crushed in the market recently. and i have no earning potential outside of poker. and a few of my friends are worth over 20 million each. so dinners are virtually free for them.

i mean i guess it's just that if you have THAT much money and you know your friend is not doing particularly well, or even if he was doing great, it's just nice to at least offer to pick up a check. i have picked up way more checks for them than they have for me, and that bugs me. but i do feel kinda douchey about it bothering me.

Also Banana Republic does a lot of deals where you can get simple cotton shirts in black, gray or white for like $17 each or similar.

You can also go to James Perse and get the same thing for 5-7x more. Best thing about Perse, it shrinks in the wash just like a regular shirt!

But you've never sprung for anything over $1200? Not that one special thing? *Yawn*

Sorry mislead you, I just mean in every big town there will be local tailors who will fit you and make whatever you need for at worst competitive prices with normal stores, which means for the same price it fits better.

Ask a friend or two with normal jobs for references, someone will know of one.

I mean, not a suit.

I have a couple guitars worth multiples of those numbers if you want to talk about my frivolous expenditures.

only things I've spent over $200 on was my desktop computer and my education

I thought we were talking about clothing.

I just imagined you would have at one point bought something really nice in your lawyering pursuits.

Oh, to my mind a $900 suit is pretty sweet but still reasonable. I feel spoiled in them. I've seen nicer stuff but I don't honestly think anyone, including me, can really tell the difference unless they're trying.

And in court no one is really trying, I don't think.

Maybe some day it'll seem worth it.
