I'm glad I'm held in such high regard

Meh.... They all seem to do that.

However, if you're comparing 4-5 villager games out of dozens, compared to 4-5 seasons out of 15 a comparable sample size, lol you.
Well you wouldn't have to care to deem it to be unfair from a neutral perspective.

Point is that you likely got better, and harping on a shaky start (on a team that was presumably bereft of talent, hard for me to comment much because i wasn't following the NFL at that time. there's not really hard evidence that he necessarily did a bad job coaching cleveland) doesn't account for changes/improvements.

Your entire argument is predicated on "all of his failures count, but none of his successes do." you're cherrypicking like a mother****er up in this bitch

Many of them do, but not all.

Michael Vick is a great one for bitching at the refs, not so great at getting them to pull out the yellow, though.

Peyton bitches more than his fair share, too.

brady might be better at getting flags for being elite, but his whining does not stand out from others.

vick prob doesn't get flags because refs are dog loving racists

all QBs are whiny bitches except for cam newton

I feel like you guys are arguing this from clearly bias perspectives. Dean, aren't you from Boston and Swiitch from New York. Or at least support teams in those cities?

How can you properly evaluate coaches anyway? From a results perspective I think he stands up very well to any coach in the game today.

Cam Newton was great for my fantasy team last year

QBs are just trying to help the refs out. It's a service, and they don't even get paid for it.

He had a losing record in Cleveland. Maybe he hadn't figured out how to cheat at games as well as he did in NE?

I'm not cherrypicking, I am stating a fact that the guy has a losing record in games when Brady didn't start.

lol swiitch, that's textbook cherry picking

Quote:
Cherry picking, suppressing evidence, or the fallacy of incomplete evidence is the act of pointing to individual cases or data that seem to confirm a particular position, while ignoring a significant portion of related cases or data that may contradict that position. It is a kind of fallacy of selective attention, the most common example of which is the confirmation bias. Cherry picking may be committed unintentionally.

People can use stats to manipulate/frame their arguments in their favor. Atakdog showed how this worked in the NHL thread this year.

Who is the greatest coach iyo?
06-19-2012 , 11:41 AM
belichick is a better than average in-game decision maker but the impact of a head coach is tiny compared to players absent of mind-boggling stupid moves so its not worth talking about that much

I will say that the cool thing with baseball is the unique aspect of the playing field in each different city

W/L.

When Brady starts, he wins. When Brady doesn't, he's lost more often than he's won.

I'm stating a fact.

I guess bringing up the fact that he cheated in games is just cherry picking too, since we don't really know how many games he stole from the opposition?

I wouldn't be surprised if this justification means no great coach has ever had a great QB.

I would say that the head coach in football probably has more impact than any other sport, pre-game, and probably in game excepting baseball.

...I mean if an announcer that came from your own team calls you out for being a bitch, then it's above and beyond the norm

Sorry, I meant active or at least modern era; but it would be interesting to see his winning record without Bart Starr. If it's something like .500, I guess you think he is an average coach.
