ok full story

went to a bar to get a happy hour deal, when me and roommate came out truck was gone(dog was in back with topper on). we panic and asssume were drunk and look everywhere in town but no truck to be found. i cry for missing dog. 45 mins of searching go by and i report truck stolen. 20ish mins later they find my truck nearly 30 mins outta missoula. dog is in back still(probably why they abandoned my truck) so im trying to organize someone to get my truck since im drunk and a cop gives me a breathalyzer

blew a .35,,, ended up walking home with my pup ok and now i need to get my trucks wires fixed

crazy night

I am getting sick and tired. PLO10 is soo terribly jinxed for me, I'm running like 7 buyins below EV in less than 1K hands. I refuse to deposit money, so every time I run my BR up to like €80 grinding PLO2 and PLO5 and start taking shots at PLO10, variance hits me back bigtime.

Two standard hands

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha, €0.10 BB (5 handed)

BB (€5.64)
UTG (€9.46)
MP (€24.80)
Button (€26.61)
Gabe (SB) (€15.62)

Preflop: Gabe is SB with J, Q, K, A
UTG bets €0.35, MP calls €0.35, Button calls €0.35, Gabe calls €0.30, 1 fold

Flop: (€1.50) 4, 10, J (4 players)
Gabe checks, UTG bets €0.78, MP calls €0.78, 1 fold, Gabe raises to €4.54, UTG calls €3.76, 1 fold

Turn: (€11.36) 8 (2 players)
Gabe bets €10.73 (All-In), UTG calls €4.57 (All-In)

River: (€20.50) 2 (2 players, 2 all-in)

UTG had Q Q 9 7

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha, €0.10 BB (6 handed)
Gabe (BB) (€17)
UTG (€25.65)
MP (€7.26)
CO (€6.07)
Button (€14.37)
SB (€5.66)

Preflop: Gabe is BB with 2, 9, 9, 10
UTG calls €0.10, MP calls €0.10, 1 fold, Button calls €0.10, SB calls €0.05, Gabe checks

Flop: (€0.50) 3, 4, 9 (5 players)
SB bets €0.47, Gabe raises to €1.88, UTG calls €1.88, 2 folds, SB calls €1.41

Turn: (€6.14) 10 (3 players)
SB checks, Gabe bets €5.82, UTG calls €5.82, SB calls €3.68 (All-In)

River: (€21.46) 7 (3 players, 1 all-in)
Gabe checks, UTG checks

SB had Q J 4 8 and won the main pot
UTG had 5 6 3 2 and won the side pot

All that equity evaporating all the time, it is infuriating.

glad you got your dog back ok gder. man, that must have been an awful 45 minutes, or however long it was that you didn't know where your dog was. ugh.
06-20-2012 , 03:58 AM
put that poker **** in the poker thread already

Also, good news about gder getting his dog back.

Tbh. These kind of things happen all the time and you are playing for fun so you should not let things bother so easily because money should not be imporant for you. Obv these kind of things are much easier to say than do in real life. So to overcome this and to deal better with swings (that will come for sure) then use little nittier brm. 80€ seems too less for even NL/PL-5 for most of the games. Especially for PLO. Money is not important for you probably and you are playing mostly for a fun, but if these hands bother you so much then really go for a nittier brm. I know people want to move up fast and it is getting boring to play lower limits, but one day a limit comes where you do not manage to move up so just have to accept that you have to stay in one limit for a long time. So try to be more patient now, because poker is like a marathon, not a sprint.

Probably it is little blabla, but I still post it, because I know that I complain too about poker stuff, but most of the people does not care about bad beats and stuff like.

I also don't care about bad beat stuff. I'm not really BR-Managing a lot here, because they are just soo bad, it is profitable for me to move up ASAP.

Long live Pokerstars.es and the isolation of donks.

Just needed to ventilate a bit.

Running bad for 6+ months is what made me quit poker 3 years ago.

Willi, you dish it out, but don't handle it well in return. So my recommendation is not to dish it out so much.
you're not married?

omg J.D. has illegal children

YOU WILL END UP IN HELL

the original question (dean's?) was pretty key imo - too many weddings are too much about the people getting married. The most obvious example of this is in weddings when there are too many, overlong speeches.

The friend of mine who separate on honeymoon from his first wife has since got married, and both weddings were ****ing amazing parties marred by about 11ty speeches lasting about forever. The fault was 100% on the groom and his family, who are great but garrulous in the extreme.

I also have a good friend who is indian and married a christian girl. So they did something that i think is semi common - had an indian wedding on one day, and then a christian one the next day. Fine, but we went to both, and it was like a repeat - sat with the same people, same people making speeches, very weird.

The other thing that mars a wedding for me (and i think that is related) is going too by the book. All the best weddings I've been to have been a bit idiosyncratic and deviated from the norm in various ways. If you're just painting by numbers and having chair covers because you have to have chair covers, and have a first dance because you have to have a first dance, and god knows what else, then yawn imo. Put more of yourself into the wedding imo.

i've barely made any money in the past year, and yes it's true i don't work, but they don't work either. they just inherited it. and they have millions.

i know when i was making a lot of money i never let my poor friends pay for anything. i would just think how i had a lot and they had a little and it made me feel great to be nice and treat them. but my rich friends never treat. i swear my poor friends treat way more often than my rich friends.
They probably see you running around in your Armani shirt and think that your financial situation can't be that bad.

Chair covers are a central cornerstone of Hoya's defense, however. I mean, who the **** needs to cover the chairs, and who on earth gives a toss what colour they are covered with? But at some point in the planning of many weddings, the couple are going to have spent a given amount of time worrying about whether taupe and grise clash or it might be better to have pink and vermillion
06-20-2012 , 05:58 AM
iirc i got married 6 weeks after proposing, and that includes the 4 week mandatory waiting period. Maybe 2 months. There were ~10 people at my wedding and we had a decent party when we got back from honeymoon.
