I think the people at the finish line said something like 32 minutes.
I don't know if I could have broken 30, but the following might have helped:
- I think I went out a little too fast. Second part of the run felt slow. I was getting passed by a lot of "real runners" (like kids in high school cross country and other people who clearly run more than I do), so maybe it wasn't actually that bad.
- It stopped sprinkling. I don't run well in heat. Not that it was super hot, but I wish it was raining a tiny bit.
- They kept those goddamn plastic safety seals on the lids. The container is cold, the humidity is high, so after I grab it, my hands are wet. It took me like 2 minutes (probably more like 30 seconds, but it felt longer) to get that damn thing off. Just take it off for me. I'll trust that you didn't inject it with a syringe full of AIDS.
- Worst of all, the goddamn spoon fell out of my pocket. Don't know when it happened, but this sucked. Had to use one of the ghetto plastic ones that are provided. Ugh. Also this would have helped me get the lid off faster.
Still had fun though. Hope you can come one of these times.
