Or not... I spent quite a bit of time trying to solve one puzzle last night. I gave up, woke this morning and realized I was looking at the problem the wrong way. It still wasn't easy to solve but I figured it out about 30 minutes later. Another laser in the air!

If I was really trying probably 6. Younger me could do much better. Now, I'm more of a slow drinker. You have to be when you start drinking half-way into your work day.

I like this one, I will actually try that. I could see it being somewhat funny to spout out a day for a certain date and see people laugh not believing you...then see their face change as they realize you're right.

I really just wanted to get some ideas for silly tricks to learn tho, I'm honestly not looking to try and impress a girl or anything like that. just phrased the question that way.

And regarding guitar, it's a weird thing. Again, when I was younger I used to feel that "know guitar, get laid" thing. But I started focusing on jazz and the panties slowly started raising back up. The past few years I've been focusing way more on roots music, acoustic stuff...fingerpicking and solo guitar playing/singing. I think I'm finally good enough in those aspects to take advantage of the "know guitar, get laid" thing but not really interested right now. I've got my eye on this barn-burnin bluegrass jam that occurs every thursday. I want to jump in so bad...im not good enough yet.

It's gonna feel great when you put in the work and get good enough then get to play the music you want

ok, if you're not trying to get laid then I have more nerdy tricks that are easy to learn

- memorize pi to 100 digits (or any other numbers) - you memorize a few sentences along with the "major system" that translates numbers into letters

- calculate square roots on paper or in your head - there's a method similar to long division that has been mostly forgotten due to calculators

you have to be a certain kind of nerd to enjoy mental math but the memory stuff is amazing and everyone should learn it imo
