If you buy gold:

pay as little premium over spot as possible
take delivery, don't let the vendor hold it

Reliable word that Bank of America branch managers just received a
letter or memo from the USFed instructing them to perhaps be ready for
a one-week universal shut-down of the banking system, including access
to checking accounts, savings accounts and credit cards. Reliable word
has it that BofA bank branches received a shipment of signs last week,
reading “We're sorry, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we
cannot be open at this time.
Unless it's part of the new law or something, they can't do this. Banks cannot be closed 4 consecutive days or they risk losing their FDIC status. For this reason, every single bank is open the day after Thanksgiving. Also, if they have some computer problem on Monday or Thursday you can bet the the tech guys are pulling an all-nighter if necessary.

That looks fake because of the repeat of the phrase "reliable word"

Heh, I suck at reading. I must have skimmed over that it was the fed requesting it. I still don't believe it but obviously my reason makes no sense.

Re: POG Politics Thread

Dustin,

AFAIC remember there was a national story in '05 about how evidence showed that government agencies had identified some of those involved in 9/11 prior to the attacks. It didn't become the biggest story since 9/11 because the MSM squelched it, but rather because when it was reported, no one gave a damn, so they went back to reporting baseball scores that people actually would watch the news for.
There's a reason that "removing the ro*******s to intercommunication between agencies" was part of the justification for legislation like The Patriot Act.

Also because the fed wouldn't distribute information that, if leaked, would be almost certain to spark an epic wave of bank failures to thousands and thousands of middle-management functionaries.

I watched a minute of the Canadian leaders debate, and a minute of the US VP debate.

What a bunch of retarded monkeys.

So Clown, I guess this is the equivalent to a gold standard in prisons?
