lol it rattles me so much. I mean no one expected Leafs to make a playoff run or anything and they're clearly better than last year and entertaining to watch but games like that still sting.
Laine certainly had the better game but Matthews is still the better player imo
Grudges aside, I'm really impressed with both of their interview responses. Both dodging quips about the rivalry and just answering straight forward. Matthews acts like a 30 year old vet already, and Laine has some pretty phenomenal quotes like "there's only 2 points I care about" when asked about Matthews' 4 goal game.
Rivalries are bred in the playoffs and in the media.
If they started in the draft than Hall/Segs, Malkin/OV, Eichel/McD, Mack/Barkov, etc would all be at each others throats.
The only reason that OV/Crosby get the attention they do as rivals is that they've faced off 3 times in the playoffs. AFAIK they are quite civil, if not friends, outside of the game.
I caught up to you now but for some reason you haven't had a day with significantly less players than me yet, and that's unlikely to happen Saturday.
So unless Friday or Sunday is heavily stacked in my favor it's likely that I was inherently behind from the get-go with the bulk of my team having less games than yours. But, we're even now so gl
Ugh, cohen, you're not going to like this, but for whatever reason it seems I won our matchup last week. It now says I'm 1-0 and the score was 141.3-139.6. I think you got 2.2 points taken away a week later somehow...
