Re: POG Community Thread

i swear i posted in this thread asking about whether biggers retirement years count the same at the new job as the old but I guess not?

Bigger, does the new job count towards the same pension salary or no?

how much does saving the extra 40% help things, I assume considerably.

He needs the 40% to pay for his Hilton stay in NYC.

No. But contract positions often lead to permanent positions and the place I'll be contracting at would qualify.

It would help considerably with some things that I need to get in place before I retire. Paying my house off and getting a lot of work done on it. The house is a huge retirement gem for me. It's in a neighborhood that has never experienced any decline in real estate values as long as I've been there.

Yeah, if this was a permanent position and I could maintain my pension it would be a no-brainer for sure. But it isn't.

I'm pretty sure after thinking about it that I'll take it if I can get it. It won't open until after the end of the month but I'm pretty sure I have a very good shot at it.

I'd be surprised if I had any friends there to be honest.. most of my friends probably won't see it.

Really awful, though. I'll keep an eye on Facebook about it too.
