After Bxg7 gxh3 black can win the e-pawn and have three pawns for the piece and it should be drawn without too much trouble. If white wants to play for the win he can't take the queen immediately (but seems to still get it a few moves later in all the lines I've explored) and ends up in some sort of complex imbalanced ending with a small but maybe winning edge (my engine says around +1.5).

I guess in sum: resignation was premature if you saw Ke7. Reasonable if you missed it.

I'm not sure I can commit to a time for sure in the next week, it will be just whenever I pop in and can give my full concentration to make a move, mostly late night I think.
