With the lack of a large number active ingress portals near you, I would just wait till the official iOS port is out.
In my circumstance, if I didn't own an android phone, I would mooch my wife's iphone for data and use an android tablet (like that $200 N7 I posted the other day
).

To do this, they must find the 13 Jarvis Shards, but Resistance Agents will do everything they can to destroy them. These shards will be all over the world.
