You should really come to Copenhagen too - we have awesome stuff here.
Please book your table at noma at least 8 months before your arrival

My brother in law was stationed at Ft Hood for 2 years.

He's at Ft Leonard Wood now, but will be shipping out to Afghanistan in August.

I went to nursery school at Ft. Leonard Wood. We lived in Waynesville, right by there.

depends on where he's stationed but the best answer is always stuff you can't get there. so toiletries are bad in packages unless specifically requested because that's what everybody sends. the MWR places are usually loaded with them.

the best thing i got? sauces. buffalo wild wings sauces are sold individually in bottles. i had a friend that would hit up my friends/relatives for money and then send me a box of them every month. like heaven when the food is the same literally every week for a year. my buddy's parents sent him loads of ragu and it was easy to heat up in a bowl in the chow hall and then put on pasta. if you're cool with your spoon he might make you some spaghetti one night.

Re: Official POG "Where do you live?" Thread

one addendum, personal touches are always the best. so anything made from home, or a hand written letter was always awesome. my dad would write me long hand-written letters about his opinions on the IU basketball season. sure i could read about it online when i had some time off but hearing it from my dad, who i grew up enjoying the game and team with, made me feel really close to home.

that's just one example. things like that were awesome.
