I'm not too experienced with it but basically you can go to your collection and 'scrap' any card (other than Basic cards I think) for 'dust'. Dust is another form of currency you can use to craft other cards you may want/need.

It's a tough resource to get, you may only get 5 dust from scrapping a card but may need 150+ to craft a better one you have your eyes on. Dust can be earned as arena awards too though

You'll start to accumulate dust when you start scrapping your redundant cards (there's no conceivable reason to have more than 2 of something, with an exception for the AWESOME ANIMATED GOLD CARDS THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO BE COOL). Also, some of the legendaries are total garbage and can be scrapped for significant amounts of dust.

You basically destroy a card for resources to allow you to make new cards to better suit your decks.

Well, yes, I sort of had that.

Is it something I should be doing now/soon? (I started like five days ago and have bought about five packs and done two arena runs.)

It prob doesn't matter since you likely can't make many cards anyways. I'd prob wait to make cards until you know what hero you want to play and thus what kind of deck to build.

fwiw, it's beneficial to scrap a low value card as soon as you can, because I think you get an achievement for your first dust and get like +100 dust for it

keep playing arenas. The more arenas you play, the more cards you see. You get packs from arena and sometimes (most of the time) gold. Gold helps you run more arenas. Don't buy packs with gold. Just save all gold for arena runs. If you win 3 games in arena you get at least 50 gold and a pack. That's the equivalent of a full arena run (1 pack is 100 gold). Arena, arena, arena.

you obviously can't go wrong dusting extra cards

also, if you're sure you'll never want to play a certain class, you could just scrap all the class cards for it

it's probably easier to screw up enchanting than disenchanting

I think you only get gvg cards from arena though so you can't go wrong enchanting useful classic cards unless you end up buying packs at some point

alot of solid gvg cards but getting basic/classic packs is pretty much a must if you want to play ladder, sucks that arena doesnt offer thoes packs anymore
