i only felt super passionate about three of those tunes i posted: two of them 12ed and soul to squeeze was robbed. i maintain it's the best RHCP instrumental:

i really can't argue too much with your rankings. a few of those groups are just bleh to me. say it ain't so IS a great tune, but i'm still of the opinion that "i want you to" is super underrated even though you 1ed it.

i almost went with "army" for ben folds but that tune is really for only a small part of the population. love it though.

Rating New Year's Day and Eleanor Rigby so low makes me a little crazy, but that's music for you.

I do love Army's live performances. Just so epic when he makes the audience the horn section.

And Soul To Squeeze is one of my favorite RHCP tunes, had it as my ringtone a few years back.

New Year's Day, who knows, if I had a listen to it before making the ranking may be a bit higher. With The Beatles it was such a coin toss. So many great tunes. Eleanor Rigby still one of the greatest songs ever, the fact that it only made the 5th spot by The Beatles of those is just a testiment to their greatness.
