It's not usual to have a basement in the UK. The only houses I've seen with them are multiple hundreds of years old.

There are about 0 houses in North Carolina that have basements. It varies greatly by state though and ground/soil composition.

In Phoenix and places in Southern Cal most don't have many basements because the ground cant handle water and the basement would be a perfect place to collect flash flood waters.. Not sure about Vegas, but JM3 would know..

I am just south/east of Palm Springs right now and if you are board this is what velentines day brought to the Coachelle valley..

So here's the thing: I sold my house and moved into rented accommodation before looking for another house to buy. I did this because I was moving to a completely different area and viewing houses long distance seemed tough and not being part of a chain made selling and buying easier.

Long story short I've only been in this rented place for 7 months = 0.58 years

irtm has lived where he lives for 1.6 years and Precept has been living where he lives for 9.83 years.

Correct answer = 12.01 years

My house number is 67, but if the movies taught me anything about American house numbers it's that they're higher than UK ones typically.

I make my guess nice and big, but alas not big enough.

Precept is gonna live at #60 but irtm is going to live at #7741

I remember Precept saying that his daughter wrote a letter to secure the sale which led me to believe it wasn't on the market that long. irtm was the velociraptor I didn't spot
