Re: Movie Character Draft

I've already done write-ups, so I'll keep this brief.

Final team:

Vito Corleone (The Godfather) – Great actor/great movie/great performance.

Jason Bourne (Bourne Series) – All-around badass who knows better than to bring a knife to a pen fight.

Tommy DeVito (Goodfellas) – Pesci owns every single moment he is on screen.

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman (Full Metal Jacket) – Imposing drill-sergeant who wrote the book on classic insults.

Frank Drebin (Naked Gun Trilogy) – One of the best comedy characters ever created.

Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read (Chopper) – The psychotic Aussie criminal that put Eric Bana on the map.

Luke Jackson (Cool Hand Luke) – Paul Newman in his most memorable role.

Regan MacNeil (The Exorcist) – Schoolgirl turned demon still remains the most disturbing horror character ever created 4 decades later.

Raoul Duke (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) – Nothing but drug-fuelled mayhem and hilarity from this guy.

William Wallace (Braveheart) – FREEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Willy Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) – This eccentric candy man is every child’s hero and every meme-maker’s wet dream.

Pooh Bear (The Salton Sea) – He lost his nose from snorting too much speed, so now he just has a plastic one which he doesn’t always wear. He owns a pet rabid badger that he doesn’t always feed. A true one-of-a-kind creation.

Re: Movie Character Draft

Mr. Wolf – Pulp Fiction
Dorthy Gale – Wizard of Oz
Scarlett O’Hara – GWTW
Austin Powers
Rose Sayer – The African Queen
Kevin McCallister – Home Alone
George Patton
J J Gittes – Chinatown
Butch Cassidy
Johnny Hooker – The Sting
Brian Cohen – The Life of Brian
Terry Malloy – On the Waterfront

I think you could've been a contender with this list.

Re: Movie Character Draft

Just rehashing my team, although I did do writeups for everyone:

1) James Bond: defined the genre of secret agent spy films.
2) Rocky Balboa: the embodiment of heart and determination.
3) Gordon Gekko: the quintessential greedy financier.
4) Anton Chigurh: invincible agent of Fate.
5) Daniel Plainview: complex combination of honor and misanthropy.
6) Ferris Bueller: iconic slacker.
7) Fast Eddie Felson: greatest "gambling character" ever.
8) Lisbeth Salander: untrusting genius.
9) Gollum: tortured victim and enabler of LotR's story arc.
10) Lester Burnham: icon of rebirth in middle age.
11) William Munny: some men just can't escape their past.
12) Will Hunting: troubled genius whose walls are broken down.

Re: Movie Character Draft

Whoever still owes writeups has about 24 hours left until we start voting.

I picked Scarlett and Patton though, so you can't have them.

Re: Movie Character Draft

I think I'll start a new thread for the voting just so it's easier to see the teams without all the clutter.
