I thik that female judge will be the big wildcard for how things shake out. Her decisionmaking ability seems in question. I've seen two bad decisions from her so far.

I like alejandro a lot as a contestant. As a cook however we'll see. That burger was all over the place. I think the only reason he won was that the other guy's was a mess....and Never EVER use bleu cheese. that seems to be the rule.

I was impressed that he could make turkey burger and cabbage something that's tasty. that stuff has no flavor and is mealy.

Afaik it's impossible to determine spoilers from this show unless you know a contestant personally, but maybe I'm wrong.

i remember for a season of survivor i looked at pre-game spoilers for betting purposes but when you have a good idea of what is going to happen it takes all the fun out of watching. never did it again since the minimal financial game wasn't worth losing enjoyment on the show.

there's nothing on the line for this competition other than pride and having people to cheer for. it's not even exciting to cheer for people if you know they are going to win. spoilers are lame.

but ya, looking for a winner's edit is important i think. survivor editors have got better and not making it too obvious who is going to win based on edit. i have no idea how Masterchef editors do it since ive never seen the show before, but I imported by survivor edit knowledge and found Alejandro was edited very favorably and he also seems like a good guy to cheer for.

i really don't think this will be a survivor. survivor is so obvious and predictable in what they do at least in who is going home in a particular episode. And it's very different when you have judges.
THis is more like top chef/project runway, etc.

And I do think that other judge will be a factor a lot in who gets eliminated. That said I find it hard to vote for someone I immensely dislike and as you say want to cheer on someone. I can't believe there were like 8 people they didn't even bother showing. Why have 20 chefs if you aren't going to show them?
