It's absurd to give points to people who lost the first round but were best in the small field elimination challenge.

In future situations where there is no clear winner, I think points should go to everyone who is safe. Basically it's the same as winning a team challenge and they deserve points. People who lose do not.

SCORING - changes in bold

Winning a mystery box challenge: 30 pts
Winning a team challenge: 10 pts
Winner of a skills test: 30 pts (if there is a winner)
People safe after a skills test: 10 pts
Winning an elimination challenge: 15 pts (everyone participates)
Runner up elimination challenge: 5 pts (everyone participates)
Surviving a week: 5 pts
MC winner: 50 pts
MC runner up: 20 pts

I mean, they did give Sam more than enough chances. His sad puppy dog face can only get him so far. Jennifer will be one of the next to go but Sam had to go.

just watched last weeks episode

last year we awarded 5 pts for successfully completing a "MasterClass" so I see no reason why "Skills Test" should not follow suit

Alejandro got a bonus 15 for winning the MasterClass last year. So seems like Cate and Yachechia should get the same treatment.

yea, that's a good point. There's ldo a lot going on in production, because it's not like Yachechia deliberately left the juiciest two for last etc. etc.

I was so certain Necco was going to be the "silent killer" of this season

Then he opened his mouth at the beginning of this episode and we we knew his time was limited.

Some other takeaways:

-Jason is so adorable it's hard not to root for him
-I'm tired of Newton's ****ing metaphors. Listen to his interviews, he can never just get his point across without mentioning cattle, or a train, or a ranch
-Gabriel dodged a ****ing bullet
-Just go away Christina

Well, all 3 of my people were picked as being in the top 7, so that was nice, but scary.

All 3 being in the top 4 & cooking their steaks perfectly was super nice.

If I had to pick a top 5 at this moment I think it looks something like Cate, Ychechia, Newton, Jason, Brien

EDIT: Think if any of those are wrong then Gabriel/Jeff are there instead.

Doesn't really seem like anyone else has the talent/air time to justify making it that far.

Daniel is someone who I thought was an early candidate to ship the top 5 but we've seen roughly nothing out of him so far. Which is hugely not a good look.

Newton is pretty much following in Brandi's footsteps from last season. Start of slowing and gradually pick up steam until making F3. That's the only reason I'm optimistic.

Just checked and Brandi was in Bottom 2 with Brittany at F17 last year and than essentially won out.

My problem is my upside is super capped by 2 of my 3 players getting 0 tv time in 1st 2 episodes, so basically I just need them to survive as long as possible before they inevitably get got.

You can't sub Jason since he's already there. I think Daniel/Adam are unlikely due to the lack of run they're getting. I guess some of that depends on why they were in the 1st 2 eps.

Adam was in the same taco battle with Gabriel & Daniel was in the same steak battle as Brien, & I think Gabriel/Brien are the more likely reasons those battles were chosen. Who knows, though?
