I've never used a pressure cooker before.
But every time someone on a cooking show uses one the judge FREAK OUT!!!!!! like "ZOMG! You're using THAT?!?!? ZOMG!!!!"
And often it comes out perfect!
I'm wondering how long pork would have taken in the oven. It shouldn't have been THAT long.
And there's a method I use to make sure meat I fry (burgers, chicken) gets cooked in the middle. I put a bunch of water on the bottom of the pan and then cover the pan (leaving air) with a pie tin or something. The steam cooks the center through VERY fast. I saw a short order cook do that all the time at a company cafeteria once. It works really well. I wonder why I never see tv cooks do it. I guess it doesn't allow for the "rares" of meat. But it seems a great idea for chicken/pork
