I don't know, and thats kinda scary to me. I want to be successful, but its hard to know what that really means. In 10 years, my SD will be over 18, so I can finally leave this **** hole, I hope to be either back in California, or in Western Canada at that time.

He turned to religion shortly after my step-daughter was born. He became born again and talked my wife into the same, but he follows everything closer to the letter than almost anyone I know. He reads and follows "To Train up a child" (Though the courts put a stop to that) He believed that the man was the head of everything in a family, and that women needed to be in their place. He believes a woman's hair is her crown and has convinced my daughter not to get her haircut.

There is more of course, but his controlling nature over women is the big thing. It doesn't surprise me that a guy like him decided to interpret the bible like that. I'm kinda surprised he didnt go full on muslim.

I guess whenever he gets curious about it. Sex is not a taboo issue to me, so he will have the answer to any questions he wants to ask. If he gets old enough (12-12) and hasnt asked anything, then Ill talk to him about it. Explain how important safe sex is, etc. Nothing will be off limits.

I won't hide my own feelings about either. As long as they (this will be easier for him than her as she has already been greatly influenced in that arena) keep an open mind about things and think critically, I will support whatever decisions they make as long as they don't endanger themselves, or others.
Lisa and I have been married 5 years a month from today. We met after my prior relationship (6 years) ended badly. I was in a funk and out of a job. I got work running local bar poker games for a company that put them on all around town. She had gotten out of her relationship close to that point and attended quite a few of them. she stuck around one night after one of the games ended at around midnight, and we talked until about 5 AM.
