GOAT vs WOAT (vanilla+) game signup
EDIT: PM me if you're in. Anonymous signup is probably wayyy better.
Not sure exactly when this will run, but I'd like to take an interest list for it so that we can plan ahead.
The concept:
We want to settle the question of how much skill matters in werewolf. To test this, we will run two games, one with a stacked villager team, and another with a stacked wolf team. They will each go up against the WOATs of Pogglesworth. These are gimmick games, ldo.
Who we need:
We need volunteers who want to represent the GOAT or WOAT team, either as wolves or villagers. When you "in", specify what team you're playing for, e.g.: "in as WOAT wolf". If you think you qualify as GOAT or WOAT for both, even better. Note: if you're considered a good villager mainly because of your meta as a terrible wolf, consider how well you'd do as a villager in a gimmick game before declaring for a team.
We will try to run two games of 13/17 players each, depending on how many sign up.
The judging:
Obviously, we expect the GOATs to win. The question, though, is by how much? Once the rosters are set, we will start a sweat thread and set the betting line on which we stake our reputations as experts on werewolf theory.
The scoring criteria is as follows (village/wolf score):
+1/-1 for each villager alive when the last wolf is lynched (if the wolves win, there are 0 villagers left alive)
-1/+1 for each still wolf alive at the end of game
1 point bonus to the winning team
Combine the scores from the two games to find the [GOAT-WOAT] cumulative score. This is what we're trying to predict, and what each team is trying to maximize.
We can fine-tune the metrics later.
Sign up below. Nobody will be turned away from the GOAT team, so don't be bashful!
Edit:
GOAT = Greatest of All Time
WOAT = Worst of All Time

Re: GOAT vs WOAT (vanilla+) game signup
one issue that will likely come up is that even if players try not to reveal who they are, some players become obvious just by how they play
and if you can identify a player, you know his role since the teams are premade

Re: GOAT vs WOAT (vanilla+) game signup
anonymous signups are a logistical nightmare, from what i've seen
and even if it's anonymous, some people will be able to figure out who's who. it's already partly broken due to that, so we're going to have to strongly encourage people to disguise their style anyway

Re: GOAT vs WOAT (vanilla+) game signup
Just get people to 'in' and then assign them a team based on the database
