Cube is a more common, logical shape than a sphere. No one talks about spheres in real life. I still chose sphere for consistency, but I get it.

Exactly. All our popular sports use cubes as balls, we worship a massive fire cube in the sky and we actually live on a cube!

No one calls balls, the sun, or the earth, spheres, though, even though they obviously are. There's no Rubix Sphere or Game Sphere (except on South Park), & people don't work in a spherical.

you learn about 2d shapes when you're like 2 and circles are the most basic shape to draw

when you learn about 3d geometry you learn about cubes first because that's the easiest to deal with (both b/c math and b/c you can't build spheres with toothpicks and marshmallows)

i think that was my subconscious reasoning. but i also came bottom 5 so what do i know :P
