You may think of it as some relic from 1.5 centuries ago, but there are actually more slaves in the world today than at any point in history.

Estimates range from 30 million - 46 million.

That 4% is Mauritania, which didn't officially outlaw slavery until TEN YEARS AGO (wtf).

So, yeah, slavery is bad. We should stop this.

I'd like to point out there's still 3.5m men in the world and 175,000 in the US.

That's a lot of dudes.
And if we can mostly have sex when we want, there's plenty of us to go around.

It's a significantly smaller problem from a biological standpoint than the other way around.
