Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

I'd rather have Best and its not even close. I own him in 3 leagues though so I might be biased

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

This is the only league I own him in.. but I wanted him in others.

As far as RBBC goes, I'm not hardly considered.

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

I grabbed Ben Tate. Don't think I ever saw him in college but he has a chance to win the job in a high powered offense and is only going to be 22, so can't be too bad.

I'm fairly confident Smith will get the majority of the carries but only if he comes back from the injury like he was preinjury
He certainly lost some value though

more craziness itt

1) that's a pretty big if
2) he wasn't that talented pre-injury and imo it'd be an rbbc with best if he does come back fully recovered

Until probably the end of round 1 fcbl and I are willing to trade 2.2 and 2.6 to move back into round 1

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

So lame.

The player I wanted at 1.06 was Tate.

Now I have my choice between a WR and a RB, neither of which I like at all.

Long story short if you like either of them trading up would be a good idea since I will likely be trading to someone who ants 1 of the top 2 players left.

Best offer gets the pick.

Yes obviously it's a huge if and I kind of agree that he wasn't all that great last season. He still was good in our scoring format though because he's a good receiver.

I still think he'll be the #1 guy at least this season but I already mentally downgraded him quite a bit last season due to his YPC. But I mean he's the type of RB I drafted a lot of so you've gotta expect some to underperform

He's also more of the explosive runner than the grinder and pretty young so I'm not too worried (except about the injury). I've got a theory/strategy about RB's that are explosive vs grinders (same for WR)

This however I will have to disagree with. I think he has a great skillset especially for PPR. My midterm hope is that he'll get traded

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

I put a decent amount of stock into Kevin Smith in my main league. I thought he had some great opportunities.

But I really believe Best is simply better.

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

I also feel pretty comfortable saying he will not be the #1 guy in Detroit this season. Unless Best gets injured (real chance, of course), I believe Best certainly gets more touches.

Also, OTI trading down to 6 and wanting Tate is pretty short sighted. In a decent league Tate is basically always #5. But it's a tough spot if you don't believe in Spiller.

I'm a little interested in your pick but having trouble seeing a package that works.

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

Honestly if you were high on Tate I say forget ADP's and just take him at 4.

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

Well I figured that Tate was the pick at 5 but I had ~50% chance of him falling to me and if it happened I wouldnt trade.

If it didn't happen I already had a few people interested in the pick so I could move out of it pretty easy.

Re: Dynasty Fantasy Football League?

Obviously I didn't want to sidebet but I'm already kind of tempted to offer a more touches excluding special teams Best vs Smith. But I ldo wouldn't do this untill preseason rolls around because the injury may actually bad enough that he'll niss some games (latest news says he may be ready for camp though)

I also let the "Wiild has the top 3 RB combo" slide. I think I'll be competitive in that department with Rice+Charles+Greene and a bunch of other guy with high scoring potential. If it's simply a bet about who has the best 1-2-3 RB combo in points scored without naming them before the bet I'm probably favoured to win
