I think in a a 3team 3 round snake draft it's a massive disadvantage to be last. The top team each year gets the worst team and doesn't need to get any really good teams. That will do the opposite of creating the parity that we wanted.

I dunno we've done snake drafts in the other leagues I was in and worked just fine.

Don't really feel strongly how its done, though.

I think snake draft probably best.. gives the top division winner a bonus. 3rd round reversal means they are stuck with the top wildcard team, I don't like that.

If we do a third round reversal instead of snake then the top division winner should decide if he picks 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.. not just auto pick 1st.

I agree with that. Picking 3rd might be a bit better, so he should get that if he wants. But it still makes the difference between the spots in the draft pretty negligible.

With snake its a huge difference.

We did 3rd round reversal for our original draft so I don't think it's random or out of nowhere to do it here too.

Well if we don't do a normal snake whole draft should be started over and whoever top seed was should pick his draft order.

Just making first seed get top wildcard team (which is huge) is pretty bad.

This is the power ranking of the teams you get at each draft pick.
12 + 1 + 6 + 7 = 26
11+ 2 + 5 + 8 = 26
10 + 3 + 4 + 9 = 26

This "perfectly" redistributes the power in theory. Obviously who you take and the pure randomness of FF can't be counted upon but this is the best option for a draft like this imo. Any other way would theoretically make 1st picks division tougher than the others and last picks the easiest.

If someone can make a point to me why snake would actually be unfair I am all ears but in theory yes 3rd division winner should be stuck with the top wildcard team.

imo the issue is that the top wildcard team is going to be way way better than all the other teams, and the bottom team is going to be way way worse, while all the middle teams are not a massive distance apart.

So simply having the worst team probably makes it the softest division even if the other teams are pretty tough, and simply having the best team + a division winner is enough to make the division very tough.

I think having the top wildcard team, in terms of $$ equity, is a much bigger deal than having the worst team.
