I know there are skeptics but I feel pretty good about my lineup.

I had dreams of Boldin dropping to me this round in fact. I would have been so thrilled with my McCoy pick if I got Boldin out of it as well.

The reason I like the McCoy pick are there are a few guys I will be equally as happy with (I felt that whole tier was kinda close). But I really am a big Boldin supporter.

I take it I can post my thoughts on the draft or is that not cool?
First quick read: Madtown is crushing the draft so far, same for The Belgian Fluellen

The only things you shouldn't say are "The xx pick will end up being pretty good as long as he gets yy" or something.

But definitely on picks already made.

Ok I think MJD is slightly > Rice; both > ADP

I think Fitz is still the #1 WR but it's really close. He has two years on AJ I may actually rank CJ ahead of AJ because DET invested quite a bit in their offense so it's not all on him anymore (+age edge)

Like the Rodgers pick and like him as QB#1

Mendenhall...meh spew imo, Turner also draftred too high
2.03 to 2.05 are reaaaly close imo (all > Mendy and Turner) but I'd rank them SJax > JStew > Charles last two could be flipped but I think SJax is slightly better than both eventhough his offield stuff is a concern.

Rivers at 3.01 looks like a steal

Not a fan of Wells @ 2.11 but I'm not high on him in general and think Hightower is far from done

Austin went way too early imo; I'm shocked that a certain WR isn't drafted yet. White too high as well. I'd take undrafted over both of them

I agree that Greene slightly > McCoy but once again it's pretty close. Close enough that I don't want action on the prop bet :P

Clown whats your opinion of R Mathews? Did I take him too high at 2.01?

So far I do yes, I think you got great value with each pick

Edit: Oh wow didn't see that pick for some reason. It seems too high wouldn't take him over any of the 2.02-2.05 guys but it can't be all that bad if he becomes the #1 guy since he's in a very explosive offense.
Edit: heh you're the one who got Rivers, too...at least that's going to be pretty exiting

Also...I think you got raped in the trade :P

I did want to mention on the McCoy debate I think the single biggest downside is Reid's concept of really limiting touches for young backs. But I think Bell sucks so it won't be a huge issue.

There's quite a lot I disagree with in that Clown. Firstly I think Rice > MJD, although it is very close. I do agree both > ADP though. As for Fitz, I think he's quite clearly 3rd behind AJ and CJ, who are very close to each other. The drop off from Warner to Leinhart and the (very large) increase in running they'll be doing this year relative to past years will have a big effect imo. Fitz is still a great WR but his situation just isn't good enough to have him as #1 any more.

Agree about Turner being too high but think Mendy isn't too bad, maybe a couple of spots too early but not a lot. Rivers wasn't top QB on my board when he got picked and I'm a big fan of Wells for some of the same reasons I'm so down on Fitz. I agree Austin was slightly early, although I don't really have any logical reason for being down on him, and (obviously) disagree pretty strongly that White was too early, and it seemed most people disagree with you there. Not entirely sure who the WR you're thinking of is but there are a couple I think are next (and had ahead of at least Boldin).

Finally if it wasn't ppr Greene >>> McCoy but in PPR it's a lot closer but still clearly Greene > McCoy imo. I think both went too early though, McCoy especially.

I think Fitz will actually get more targets than last year, AJ is going to lose some to a healthy Daniels and I'm not entirely sure what to think of CJ's situation yet

I'm 100% lower on Wells than most people. He'll not be the featured back likely be in a timeshare and Hightower is the better receiver and blocker and also very young. I also have my doubts that they will suddenly run a lot more. It may increase due to the drop in QB play but I think short routes are going to be featured more and take away some of the runs...short routes to the very athletic Fitz
Dunno if the line drastically improved in run blocking but I have my doubts

With regards to White...he's just not the type of receiver I'd want

I don't know how you can think Wells won't be the feature back this season. He was already getting 2x as many carries as Hightower towards the end of last season. Sure he wasn't the starter but I'm like 90% sure he will be this year.

Just to illustrate; from week 9 onwards last year Wells had 20 more touches (that includes receptions) than Hightower and from week 13 onwards he had nearly double Hightower's total touches and well over double his carries.

Edit: Just realised you might have meant 3 down back when you said feature back. If you did mean that then you're probably right for at least this year but I think Wells' receiving skills are underrated by a lot of people. He caught basically the same % of his targets (admittedly far smaller sample size) than Hightower did last year. It's his blocking that will prevent him being a 3rd down back for a while.

And yet he only outscored Hightower 110 to 90 from week 9 onwards. Hightower is fairly consistent and that's going to cut into Wells production. Don't forget that they will play a new QB and Hightower is stronger in pass protection (and probably also as an extra receiver but it's close)

I guess we just disagree but I think Wells is overrated fantasy wise.

I dunno how Clown can think White or Austin Miles were drafted too high.

At their spots they were pretty big steals.

Wells may not have a very high ceiling this year because of Hightower but he will only be 22 when the season starts. He is very talented in very young and is a great RB2 for dynasty even if he was taken a few picks too high.

Also I think Sydney Rice was one of the best picks so far value wise, right behind Jennings.

lol

AJ is the best in the league imo and his quarterback is elite while Fitz' is a big big question mark as is CJ's(Who could very well be the best but hasn't had a chance to prove it)
