So.. both franchises deleted and their players are in the free agency pool. Draft kinda hosed at the moment, though. We can figure out the draft afterwards. I may have done things out of order and created more work but we'll make it right.

I think everything is ready to go on website. It's ready for the rookie draft after the supplemental is done. However, please check your rosters and draft and everything. I believe we are good to go, but that was a lot of changes so who knows.

One problem I already note is every future draft pick involved one of the deleted franchises so it messed things up a bit. I don't think Klunch and I are supposed to have a first this year. I don't think its fair for me to decide what to do since one of my picks was involved in it.

I can see arguments of forfeiting that pick as that was traded. I can see arguments of keeping it as part of the "reboot" as they were not traded under the idea that all these extra players would be available. Essentially, the value traded is totally different than actual value for the pick. Please add any thoughts to this piece. Either way has arguments that make it seem unfair, so not sure what is best. If we do keep them, at least our two picks are at end of draft. If we don't keep them, at least the overall value was less than others.

The other question is what does 1.01, 1.02, 1.10, 1.11, etc mean. I can see them being drafted in the supplemental draft. I think it's fair however we define it now, since the order will be randomized. I suggest we put them before their pick in the draft. So, it would go 1.01, Blah Blah, 1.02, Shiva, etc. 1.10 would go before Fake, and 1.11 right after. I don't think this piece matters what we decide as long as agreed before order randomized.

For the few picks that did not involve other franchises:

Moocher gave up his third to me for Flacco and a fifth.
Moocher gave up his fourth to Bingo for Hightower.

Honestly, I kinda think we should just roll with a new draft order, ignoring these trades, as none of this is that high leverage and there are problems both ways. I feel it kinda sucks that Moocher traded his third to me, for example, without understanding it'd be pick 25, instead of pick ~30, with more players available. His third is worth way, way more today than it was a year ago. I'll defer to overall consensus, though.

Just need people to chime in on the above questions for traded picks, etc. before we get going. It's messy regardless but more I think about it the more just leaving as site has it now seems most fair.

Thanks. I'll wait through the weekend before getting things started because the "other stuff" is the tricky part with no good solutions.

In my eyes, it you traded away a pick that pick has a new owner and you no longer have any claim to it (unless you pick it up via the supplemental draft).

All picks from the original draft order can be transferred into a new order and there should not be any picks that gain in value or any that lose in value, since we still have 72 picks to distribute (6 rounds of 12). For example, Moocher traded his third round pick to Chim, pick 3.07. That would have been pick number 31 if we had 12 players. In the new format it should still be pick number 31 overall.

I've attempted to go through this process for the entire draft and I came up with the below. Please check for any errors.

Translating this to a new order will require a fair bit of manual editing but I think it's the most fair and transparent way to do this.

I'm definitely ok with that for sure, was just noting that I do think the value is a bit different since the pool in the draft is far different than expected.

But, I'm totally good with doing it that way. That order looks good, and I did not consider making 3.07 = 4.01 (pick 31 = pick 31). That makes sense to me.

Ya, the "pick 31 = pick 31" makes most sense and fixes almost all problems.
