With the large scale football club exodus this offseason (Manchester United to the Luxembourg National Division, FC Barcelona to Primeira Liga, Real Madrid & Bayern Munich to North America), the newly remade US/Canada league has now displaced Spain & England as the most-desired location for the top footballers in the world. It is only natural that the champions of English football, Chelsea FC, move to where the competition is the strongest.

Chelsea are the 4th most popular football club/sports team in the world, and feature a young team led by 24 year old Eden Hazard (below) as well as Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, Nemanja Matic, Branislav Ivanoic, and newly signed Pedro:

What's more, and the clincher for this pick, is that they are led by the greatest manager in ANY SPORT, a man who will fit in perfectly in the United States because he lives and dies emotionally with his teams, "THE SPECIAL ONE" Jose Mourinho (a nickname he bestowed upon himself):

Jose Mourinho has 2 Champions League titles with 2 different clubs (equivalent of the Super Bowl), and has been to the Champions League semi-finals a staggering 8 times in his 11 qualifying season. He has won the domestic title in 4 countries, a jaw-dropping 8 times in 12 seasons:

He's signed with Chelsea through 2019.

We will also be getting the extravagant Russian billionaire owner Roman Abramovich, as well as the legendary home of Chelsea, Stamford Bridge (soon to be expanded to 60,000 seats).
lol

Pleased to report that Chelsea is currently sitting 2nd in the table behind Barcelona in the MLS standings. Jose Mourinho is transitioning well to the southern California lifestyle.

While we've been eliminated from UEFA Champions League this year, we're very excited about CONCACAF Champions League next year!
