ehhhh sorry esse.

wow globe, awesome game. there is no way i was ever going to read you as wolf. i feel like if i re-read knowing you were a wolf it wouldn't be transparent.

thanks for running homer, awesome game.

I am very disappointed I ended up outing this game, it was awesome to rail and I'm sure even more fun to play. Globe was phenomenal imo, and the wolf team as a whole played very well for the most part.

from me Homer

Re: Detectives United: The Lost Reports Game Thread

fwiw when i called esse a sick wolf it was because he was perceiving things from a villagery perspective even though i disagreed with both his conclusions and the logic to arrive there. i kinda thought maybe he was a villager and i should consider switching to hoya, but he was POE'd and there had to be something weird (like globe being a wolf) for him to not be a wolf so i didn't really invest any thought into it.

woulda been sick if i switched to hoya, but i was mostly just piecing everything possible pairings toward the end and locking in globe as villa kinda ruined that exercise.

It's impossible to clear esse late game, no biggie Dean, your vote of esse wasn't even remotely close to the worst decision in this game (which was probably mine for keeping Hoya in).

Besides, lawls, the game should have been over last week with you lynched, but gder got drunk and voted alice, which forced the village to lynch him.

Was a good concept, but it's way too hard to stay focused for weeks of a walls of text every day.

Looking back it would be a shock if the wolves hadn't won.

We didn't even wagon a wolf til gder yesterday

Re: Detectives United: The Lost Reports Game Thread

yeah i mean either one of globe/esse had to be a wolf and there's just no way i'd ever peg it to be globe. he literally said the EXACT right thing with a very villagery thought process every damn step of the way.

not at all surprised that hoya and silman were w/w (lol softpush each other more daintily), but once we hit end game the only person who fit in as the 3rd partner other than globe was esse and i couldn't vote with him and silman.

also random pet peeve: i actually kinda felt that mets was a villager the whole game because he said "it's hard to explain what happened without angleshooting" wrt to his post before the NK. i tried really hard to ignore it because there was no way i was clearing him on tone, but when you acknowledge that a possible angle of yours is a possible angle, it kinda becomes more of an angle. i know it wasn't mets's intentions but it nagged at me for the entire game.

also mets bro- wtf were you doing with the CFDs? i thought you hated CFD's and the way you tried to do them was just never going to work.

re-reading was a bitch because you can't click on the "who's posted" link and you gotta ctrl + f it. plus the general format made it hard to follow without actually being in the flow of the daily posts.

i tried to re-read every day and i would start for a few minutes and come up totally empty.

i take it that the xxsooted kill was a FPS SPK?

This was an interesting experiment.

I don't think it's possible to village without interactions. You pressure people when they are around, then you learn their role. Not you sit back and figure out their role and then lynch them.

(Yes, any use of the word angleshoot in a game is angleshooting.)

I would've played day1 different if I knew you were going to be in the game
and you called me for exactly what I thought you would
but nobody listened
so
also sooted kill was sosick imho

Re: Detectives United: The Lost Reports Game Thread

Either an FPS to clear globe or Silman thought he might have been peeked. The exchanges silman and xxsooted had day one made it sound a lot like xxsooted had peeked silman and silman knew it, reread their day one to see what i mean.

yeah
he was by far the top wolfhunter of the nonwolves until you subbed in
and he was very wrong about basically everything
so we figured the village would come to a lot of wrong conclusions
and we didn't really know who the seer was after only day1, animalem's sanga peek looked too much like a read for me at least to pick up on it, esp since sanga had been every bit as villagery as she had said.
