Thanks for the game, Carl.

isn't 007 a character name?
That's what he's known as.
07-09-2017 , 03:31 PM
007 is his work ID

His name is James Bond
07-09-2017 , 03:39 PM
The magic word there is ID. People called him that.
07-09-2017 , 03:48 PM
I would say that either ruling is acceptable. Carl made his choice based on his intent. Good enough.
07-09-2017 , 03:50 PM
I mean it's up to carl but it is the reason I didn't choose 007

it's irrelevant to my score. I was nowhere close.
07-09-2017 , 03:52 PM
And actually seeing the score, even without the 3 points, True North STILL would win!

haha great job TN

Thx Carl and congrats winners!

I couldn't have picked a more appropriate last answer to screw myself out of a podium

As a mod, I put the C in capricious and the A in arbitrary.

In my memory, Mississippi (the state) was a major setting in the novel. Turns out this was wrong. Still, I think given the southern setting the ambiguity is enough for a non-group.

Yeah, 007 is a bit tricky. I've gone with a very literal reading of the rules, and 007 is not his name. I probably should have just disallowed 007 in the OP.

Indeed. You had a good run up to then.
07-09-2017 , 05:35 PM
Zomg! Was not expecting this win at all. Thx Carl, congrats JM3 and housenuts.

I thought Huck Finn was set in Mississippi too until I looked. That's the only reason I added "River" to my answer.
07-09-2017 , 07:58 PM
Congrats TN and thx for running Carl.

Promising for a while and then splat. Standard.

Thanks for the game Carl and congratulations to the winners!
