If it is true that 100% of people always tell the truth about rl issues, then it's curious to me that such a large fraction of the player pool apparently seems intent on probing the veracity of such statements as if it was role-determinative. Like with Krayz and the phone charger thing.

And thanks! Wish it had been an event other than the $1k, obv, and wish I had gone deeper, but it was a lot of fun.

Let's just be clear that there is no rule against lying about real life. Each player determines that on their own, as it should be. tweedy had one of the goat lost wolf signals when he claimed to have broken up with his girlfriend (which wasn't remotely true but was hilarious).

Phone Charger:

I was at about 5% battery and got on the bus to go to work. I charged it when I got to work and continued posting

Proctoring Exam:

As the TA I thought I was going to be busy, but it was just sitting around making sure they weren't cheating so I had time to post

Internet being down:

****ing Comcast has had intermittent connections/slow speeds at my house for almost 2 weeks running now. Check the Survivor thread if you don't believe me.

This would be like a hardcore ww league.

The problem I see is as things more and more intense I think some people will cheat. Call be pessimistic, but I really think this would happen before some of the ideals of hardcore ww were ever realized.

so you think a blanket "I was busy" should be sufficient, that people shouldn't explain beyond that, AND that people shouldn't probe beyond that, right?

If so, I disagree. I think talking about rl adds to the social aspect of the game.
