Winning immediately prevents that from killing you, but I think the odds that the club 3 isn't a true card exceed the parlay that you're guarding against.

I held up twice, faced a spade switch, K offside, then another club. Losing 3 clubs Ks Ad. If you trust the 3c is honest, which in my auction, at my level, it likely is, you make.

Partner bid 3C and RHO bid 3S? If so, now I need to know the colors, which will determine pass or 3NT.

If partner bids 3C and it is passed to me, I think I might try 3H. If partner responds 3S, asking, I bid 3NT, but if he has super-short spades he may do something else. Bidding 3NT over 3C is a bit too unequivocal for me, though I suppose if I were vulnerable that might be a better choice.
