Ugh, that's such a sick way to win. Replacing a final rounder with a movie that wasn't available when we did the draft and could end up being the highest grossing movie of the year is pretty lol. I'm surprised we didn't have a rule in place to prevent something like that from happening.

Still, it's pretty amazing just how much American Sniper is crushing. I don't think anybody could've predicted that.

Hmmm is that what happened? I'm still skeptical it should have been draftable.

At least my prediction should be pretty hard to beat.

Yeah, I always felt we shouldn't be able to draft movies that were unavailable at the time if we had one delayed. But I don't think there was ever a rule in place to prevent it.

a lot of movies don't get released in china, which is the 2nd biggest international market

think i posted this earlier, but drafting on the whims of what movies the chinese allow to play in their country seems real real dumb. plus, garbage like transformers does well there.

Yeah, but the year wan't even set afaik. Nobody is going to take a movie where the year of release is still TBD.

You are being stubborn if that is your main argument because it honestly doesn't play as big of a factor as you say it does. We've played it that way for 4 years now and China has never been a surprise make it or break it thing.

Doing it international makes the game much more even. I can't see how that isn't preferable.
