I cannot believe Rampage was taken at 24 and this fell to me at 40 when they're basically the same movie.

Skyscraper

High budget action thriller with Dwayne Johnson. July release date. We know the Rock can bring in bank even when he's not jumping into established franchises (San Andreas, Central Intelligence) He has flops too, but usually just underperforming comedies. This is a high octane Die Hard meets Towering Inferno kind of movie, so I would expect a bare minimum of $100M here, and would even take even money on $150.

I mean, from a Box Office standpoint, it's practically a new IP. I don't think being loosely based on the game will draw in that much more bank, but maybe I'm wrong. I will concede that Rampage looks to have the better supporting cast alongside Johnson, but still I think getting Skyscraper 16 picks later is a steal.

I figured as much, you gotta remember that Dwayne used to work 300+ days a year on the road with the E, so he's still at a reduced workload even with a ton of movies out

I had Red Sparrow last year before it got delayed and almost took it last pick but hoped it would fall to me next

And I was eyeing skyscraper next pick as well

San Andreas did 155M

There's still one that many websites dictated should be somewhere near a first/second round pick that I bet everyone's passed on for obvious reasons but at some point it's going to be a steal - it's a matter of who wants to hold out for it lol
